Vintage Silhouettes

I love collecting old pictures from antique stores. My absolute favorite are vintage silhouettes. I want to add more to my collection. Let me show you a few I have collected and just decided to hang in my bedroom.

I wanted to match the color theme to my bedding and color palette in my bedroom.

Here is a closer look at them. I will be adding more to my wall. Eventually I want to fill most of the wall with vintage picture frames. My plan is to paint my bedroom a steel grey-blue. According to designer, David Bromstad, this color is hitting it's decorating stride. Striking a balance between masculine and feminine.

"The Ever Talented" Brian Neal Sensabaugh, Display Coordinator for Anthroplogie, (click here to tour his home) designed this lovely wall of vintage silhouettes, which I ADORE!

Another wall of silhouettes I ADORE!

BEING AN AUNT IS AS GOOD AS BEING A MOM, FOR ME

annie
pretty in pink
2 months old
cared for & loved by her brother
a boy is already trying to hold her hand,oh no!
judah turned 2 this monthcomplete with a baseball cake
party at the children's museum in
downtown san luis obispo
being an aunt to judah and annie makes me giddy inside. through their lives i find

joy in the everyday. to be able to see their faces light up when they smile brings

laughter to my heart. it's like the whole world changed the day judah was born and

all of the sudden it instantly became a better place. brighter, more cheerful, more

delightful. my heart grew and then annie was born and it grew more. now my heart

is extra large. i can rejoice in these two gifts the lord has given to my family and i. i

am thankful to be here today. content with what the lord has given to me so

generously. thank you lord for this life with these two children! my heart is full!

Happy 2nd year of your life Judah
you are a little rockstar
& i am your biggest fan

WANNA GO ON A TRIP?

to my dream house out by the sea......
you can come by yourself, bring your bf, your hubby, your kids or just the girls......
all we will do is relax, eat, swim, laugh and throw our cares away......
there is plenty of room for everyone, so come on......

we will ride our bicycles down to the ocean's shore and play in the sand......

we will hurry back before the sun sets......
to relax on the porch and sip lemonade together......
we will sleep in every morning!
Won't it be fun?

A girl can dream, Right???
Maybe someday I will live in my beach house by the sea.
I would love to wake up every morning to the smell of fresh saltwater.
I wouldn't care if the beach mist made my hair frizz.
It would be worth it to watch the waves lap the shore!
To watch the sunset over the ocean's edge.
I may not live on the sea but I do live pretty close to it.
In the most amazing guesthouse built by my Dad.
The view out my bedroom window is amazing,
with sunny skies most of the year.
This life is pretty close to a dream when I think about it.
God has blessed me with shelter, food, a family most would pray to have.
The privilege of watching my nephew and niece grow up.
A good job when times our tough , a church family and friends with whom I can confide.
My friends are always welcome to come stay with me to get away and relax.
We can still go down to the seashore and eat snow cones on a hot day.
Or maybe get some gelato in Avila Beach or ice cream at the barn.
All my friends are always welcome!!
SO COME ON OVER!

Daily Recipe

I have some blogging to catch up on but until then here is a little inspiration. I really like this quote I actually saw it in my pottery barn catalog and have no idea who said it.

"Into each day put equal parts of faith, patience, courage, work, hope, fidelity, liberality, kindness, rest, prayer, meditation, and one well selected solution. Put in about one teaspoonful of good spirits, a dash of fun, a pinch of folly, a sprinkle of play, and a cupful of good humor."
